On the lot immediately next to ours, a 5 minute walk to the Green Line, Trio is erecting an 8000+ sf duplex where formerly stood a charming 1900 sf Queen Ann. Before construction began Trio destroyed two magnificent old growth trees that provided both character and summer shade to the block where they stood, and in the process of demolishing the Queen Ann their subcontractor damaged our house and could well have killed somebody with the chunks of brick and concrete that came flying over the fence into our yard. I live adjacent to one of their properties in Fisher Hill and met their general contractor while walking with my wife. Tyler introduced himself and explained what we could expect in the coming weeks while they start a new phase of construction. It was a warm and personal conversation which is not typical for local builders. He heard our concerns and addressed them with respect. We appreciate how clean tthe work site looked from the street. Company representatives were rude and combative when my neighbors and I called them about the construction hours rules. They were starting much earlier than allowed. Also their construction site was disgustingly! McDonald’s bags everywhere, cigarette butts— I guess they just throw trash on the ground? And then it gets blown around the entire neighborhood. If you want an ugly, white, box home that appears designed by AI, then that’s what they produce!
