I lived in the Murchinson Townhomes, and Trinity Properties was hands down, the best rental company I have ever worked with. The staff, especially, Amy, got to know me as a person, and worked with me during a weird life circumstance. While I no longer live there, I would recommend any Trinity Property to anyone that may be looking.
Nasty place
Pros. Friendly personnel, relatively silent neighborhood, normal 2 glass layer windows that give sound insulation, no issues with security deposit refund (fully refunded). Cons. In my case, they used some organic solvent based paint (probably, floor paint) for renovation before I moved in. I felt its smell for next couple of weeks - please, use safe odorless paints for renovation. Minus one star because of this reason only.
I lived at Poplar West for about 4 years and had an overall positive experience. Very lowkey and respectful neighborhood, inhabited primarily by Duke graduate students. Pricing for the 2-bedroom I rented was very reasonable and one of the better deals in Durham at that price point. Responsive and customer service-oriented property management with an open line of communication.
