I went to trinity with my brothers civic to have it looked at because the maintenance light had turned on. The technician there was super nice and understanding, taking the time to walk out to the parked car to look at. In less than a minute he reset the maintenance light on the dash and said everything was fine. He has the same car and said the light is just a reminder for an oil change. I had $1300 worth of work done. The emergency brake was dragging on the first attempt at repair. There was a violent brake shuddering after the second attempt. His third attempt involved sanding the new brake shoes to remove residue from first failed attempt. Brake shuddering is still evident. He blames his inability to completely solve the problem on the fact that the brakes weren't really working for me when I brought them.
