I had the exact same experience as the OP Joey. Very dismissive and defensive. He suggested I look for another company if I was going to criticize his - I am happy to never see Fred again.
Would leave zero stars if I could. Fred gave me a quote for yard work and sent two guys out that completed half the work and left. I had texted Fred during their work that it appeared they weren’t going to finish, to which I was chastised for questioning their methods.
