Andre, the owner, is very hands-on, knowledgeable and extremely fair in pricing when dealing with European cars.
The check engine light on my Mercedes went on so we took it to Tri Star. Fantastic! They checked everything over, explained the issue, gave us some excellent tips and didn't charge a fortune!
Andre & his staff are the best - very honest car repair, extremely knowledgable when it comes to European cars (BMW/Mercedes).
Andre the owner is very knowledgeable about servicing German autos. We have 5 and take all of them to him for anything we need. We feel confident that our car repairs will be done quickly and thoroughly.
My BMW was driving rough so I took it to Andre because it was close to work. he said I needed a new transmission which would cost me at least $1,000. I then took it to our family mechanic who we've used for years and trust, and he said there was nothing wrong with the transmission and the problem was something else, which was fixed for only $600. He is your typical mechanic who acts like he's above the other grease monkeys. DO NOT USE THIS MECHANIC AND SPREAD THE WORD!!!
I too had a horrible experience here. The owner (or receptionist, or accountant, or whoever the hell this guy claims to be) was rude and talked down to me. I do not recommend this crap hole at all.
Owner (Andre) told me he was going to call me back in 1 hour. 24 hours later, no call. I call him back and he doesn't remember, so I remind him that he was going to call me back. Then he gets defensive and tells me "I've been busy. I don't sit in the office all day collecting money. I actually work on the cars." ????? Ok, whatever that means. He then tells me to "relax". I was shocked and appalled. He has a screw loose upstairs. I DO NOT RECOMMEND this garage if you care about customer service at all.
