I called early last week to have my physical therapy authorization updated to urgent so insurance would take 48-72hrs to authorize it instead of waiting 2-4 weeks. Its been over a week since I left that note, supposedly marked as urgent, and Vanessa Pinter has not done this for me. She is not 'very busy with patients' she constantly has same-day or next day availability for appointments. She is negligent with patients and dangerously dismissive. She doesnt want to do her job. Tri area doesnt believe in preventative care. They only believe in using a single ICD code for patients having complex multifocial neurological symptoms so the referral isnt prioritized or systemically marked as urgent. They will do the bare minimum - the least effort possible will be what you recieve. Do NOT come here if you have a chronic illness.
I am a patient at tri area healthcare in Floyd Virginia. I have been going there for several years. Very friendly staff. Very friendly healthcare providers. If you are looking for a new healthcare provider for your needs. I recommend try area healthcare.
Sarah Knoeckel…goodness what an unprofessional and rude individual. I had a telahealth visit with her this afternoon, 5/16 at 2:20, she finally signed in at 3:25ish because she “had two appointments at once at 2:15”. The nurse that was asked to stay in the room with me had never used their new telahealth system and this woman had the audacity to ask her if she was a capable enough nurse to be able to know if my ear was red and had fluid buildup or not.
