I spoke to the customer servive people at Trex before I decided to go with their product. I got the toasted sand boards and got my deck built. After it was all done, we noticed that the boards were curling up at the two ends. I called Trex and they put me onto their claims deparrment, who in turn asked me for pictures of the underside of the deck. After trying to arrange my own contractor to build my deck, I found it would be a minor miracle to find anyone reliable. So I went to Lowes, thinking with their power/clout at least I would have a fighting chance if anything went wrong. Well everything did go wrong...Lowes hires their contractor, 5-star rated "Platinum" contractor who wouldn't respond and Lowes points the finger at the contractor for any problems. I used to Trex website to find a contractor for a planned deck project. I Used their "Platinum" list with the most reviews to schedule an estimate review. The first company replied that I was outside their area. The second company emailed asking about times and I let them pick the date and time. When that appointment passed, I called to see if they were just running late, and at first, they said they "forgot" and then said they got another email cancelation and thought it was me.
