If I could give zero stars I would. I came in to have a look at Trend's products without an appointment. Victoria the sales consultant was surprised that I didn't have an appointment - she was busy with another customer so asked her staff to assist me. They were helpful but I was handed back to Victoria who made it clear she didn't not want to provide a quote and that it was an inconvenience for her to do so. I attended Trend windows in Hawthorn with my husband and two daughters as we are building a new house and spending approx $40,000 on windows. Victoria the sales assistant was shocked when we walked through the store and asked if we had an appointment, we weren’t aware that we needed to make an appointment and made us feel unwelcome commenting she was about to have lunch. Very poor customer service. I visited the Hawthorn showroom and was made to feel I should know exactly what I am looking for and that it was a real burden to be shown the products. The person reluctantly explained the most basic details but showing it was an annoyance to have to do it. I will not reach the stage of knowing if the products are actually good but I know that if the service is this bad when trying to explain their product I would not want to know how bad it is if an issue comes along the way during the ordering,... read more

We ordered over $10K worth of windows and doors from Trend in Hawthorn, and tried to cover every single detail from our end in the consultation - including providing detailed architectural plans. Unfortunately, we have already encountered two big blunders: 1) The external glass door (opening from the BATHROOM) was ordered in 'frosted' glass, for privacy. However, we were sent a door with 'clear' glass. Trend would not replace the door, but quoted us around $1K to replace the glass! Now we have to pay someone to frost the gla... read more
