My wife and I had dinner at the tree bones last night and it was hands down the best dining experience we've ever had. The food was wonderful the service was exactly right the pacing of the meal was perfect The View was beyond comparison and we recommended as highly as anything we can ever remember
It would feel more respectful if the business included a deeper acknowledgement of the specific cultural origin on their Our story page
the food was a let down ... some thoughts on the dinner was mixed — the wagyu steak dinner was chewy and we ended up leaving it; potato scoop (super small) was bland; the mushroom was rubbery like cutting rubber the next night we had the pizza which we figured would be hard to mess up, it was good but not worth $95 each (that included salad and appetirzed but still) dinner — oysters were outstanding but dinner salads lacked punch cabbage salad was burned black and salsa needed more heat and depth the lunch was much better— c... read more
Had a magical time here. Service was outstanding, the yurt was excellent, and the feeling was unique. The omakase is a must.
Magical experience in a beautiful experience. I stayed for 2 nights in a yurt and can’t wait to come back. The food was incredible - I tried both the restaurant and omakase and have no complaints. The breakfast was a little weak tho. Important things to consider: - if you are driving an EV, treebones does not offer charging. Big Sur is remote and you will get stranded so plan your driving. - internet is very limited (I think this is a good thing) but do not plan on any internet critical activities here - bathrooms are shared
