Caring at First : Living on SSDI ; I was making it on $883 Rent Lease til December. Owner and TCHSC came mid June ; Owner is taking control of Property and Raising my Rent to $ 1260 starting July 1st, breaking my current Lease. Forcing me back to street. This place needs to have some type of regulations put into place. They will say they’re going to help then have you go through the entire process only to tell you something that you never said just to have a reason to tell you that you’re not eligible. I have served my community for years and I’ve never mistreated, mislead or went out of my way to make anyone feel less than, however the moment I ask for help I’m treated like the scum of the earth. We moved down to Florida and we were homeless and they moved us in knowing we could not afford the rent and the place was not even clean and now they are threatening to kick us out even when I have a two year old and the girl we were working with told my aunt who has stage 3 breast cancer and the tumor on her brain said that she was lazy and that it was her fault why she kept going in and out of the hospital and they are being very very rude they also said the damages were our fault all the paint that was peeling and the dam... read more
