Popped in for a beer, great local crowd with good barman.
A great place to stop in and close to lots of other attractions. At times they have Live music / Karaoke. Staff are warm and friendly, we hadn't been inside the TRC for over 20yrs and had a great chat with a member of the staff (maybe manager?) regarding renovations etc. He was a wealth of information and didn't mind chatting with us as we reminisced. The place was busy and the atmosphere was awesome.
Avoid this hotel if you can! They are cheap for a reason! The rooms are completely filthy. The night we stayed was so hot. The air con was not working and the fan that they provided was disgusting and caked in dust, obviously it has never been cleaned. The crockery was also disgusting and looked like a biohazard. The walls are also extremely thin, you can hear entire conversations from next door. No explanation, no apology, no compensation from staff. Edit: Our stay was in Jan 2024. Have been working in Launceston for 6 months on a project. I love the TRC. Small town vibes with good food and rooms for the price point. I'll always return.
Good old fashioned pub. Good service, cold beer and excellent food. Standard pub grub.
