Horrible experience. A clear example of court-collusive privatization. We were court-ordered to use Traverse, with no choice in provider. It was extremely expensive and not covered by insurance. Their services lack oversight, yet their reports can heavily influence custody decisions. This place is part of the family court industrial complex that many advocates and investigative journalists have exposed. If you’re being forced to work with them, know you’re not alone.
Our family has utilized Traverse Counseling for both individual and couples counseling and we’ve found it to be one of the highest quality counseling experiences we’ve ever had. The counselors are highly experienced, especially with high conflict family situations. They are accredited, so you can submit the sessions to your insurance for coverage, which we did.
I agree with other reviews-this is one of the worst "therapy" places ever. They charged $400/hour cash for court ordered work. My kids and I were abused by them using brainwashing techniques to unite them with their abuser. They try to reach their own goal by using unethical and immoral techniques. Who treats people like that and calls themselves "therapy"??? NO STARS
The Traverse Team has been one of my favorite referral resources to share with families for many years. Compassion, integrity and care is part of their DNA and it feels like you get an instant hug as soon as you walk into their office. I am so grateful they are a part of our community and for all the work they do.
I received services from this place for almost 2 years and the services I received was a 2/10. The person whom was assigned to my case did not do their job as described in the agreement. Families depend on these types of services, it's supposed to be a safe space but instead they allowed things to happen that shouldn't of happened. I hope no other Families seek services from here and I highly do not recommend.
