We rented a Chubby van from the Cairns agency (April–May 2024) and had a disappointing experience. The van had 540,000 km, a worn-out clutch, and an unsafe power connection that sparked — making it impossible to use electricity during our entire trip, despite paying for powered campsites. Staff delivered the van late, with confusion about a possible coolant issue, and we didn’t get the promised newer model. 10 incredible days on vacation in a Budget Campervan through the Tablelands and Cape Tribulation. Vivien was excellent from start to finish, taking care of every little detail that made our trip a joy from beginning to end, Thanks to you and your mate too!!
