Travellers is by far the worst !!!!! Please stay clear. I’ve been dealing with a leak in my bathroom for nearly 3 months now. Serval quotes from contractors showing 13k to repair they want to pay out 1200$. This company is such a scam it’s crazy.
DO NOT BUY. There is 100% a reason these con artists are cheaper than most. It’s because you get what you pay for. I was taken in by the low premium. My hot water heating for my condo leaked, and my coverage was declined. I’m left with over $20K of damage that these crooks won’t cover because they believe that I should have known about my leaky radiator sooner. I've been a insurance broker for 23 years and getting a hold of an underwriter with Travelers, especially when calling in, is next to impossible! The automated voice attendant service has got to be the worst in the industry! And that says a lot!!
New home warranty not worth the paper it is printed on. Let me start by saying I work in the industry, this isn't the case of someone not understanding insurance. The New home warranty in BC is required by law in response to the leaky condo crisis of a few decades ago where developers were building horrible quality buildings. Do not ensure with this company. They notified us less than one month before our policy with them expired that they will not be renewing our home insurance. When I inquired about a small extension due to the current fire season, we were denied.
