Came here for Restaurant Week, the food was amazing but was majorly disappointed by the service. My friends and I stopped by Traveler for dinner, the space was gorgeous and a refuge from the rain that evening. We each got the $45 tasting menu for restaurant week and ordered one of each regular item to share (duck was an extra +$18). My friend made sure to notify the server that she had a peanut allergy before ordering the fish dish and they confirmed that she wasn't anaphylactic. Came here for cocktails and restaurant week! Modern Taiwanese inspired dishes and really really great cocktails! Chill vibe~
Food portions were tiny even considering restaurant week. Scallops sounded ok on paper but the tom yum sauce masked everything. Service was decent but definitely not worth the 22% “large party” autograt that is neither visible on the physical and online menus, nor tagged onto the receipt towards the end until the machine was brought out to pay. This place is underrated. The food was fantastic, staff was so friendly (even with my partner and I peppering them with questions), and atmosphere great. The whole place is a bit of a love letter to Taiwan, but even if you haven't been to Taiwan, I recommend it for everybody
