My daughter uses Dr.Trautman for her special needs son who takes many medications. Recently she moved and her new pharmacy did not have one of the meds that my grandson needed. She tried to contact the dr to see if he could prescribe same meds in a smaller dose ( so he could take 2 to make up for the 1 on back order). It’s been 3 days the doctor still has not responded! I have found Dr. Trautman to be very knowledgeable, empathetic, and reliable. He has always returned my phone calls in a timely fashion if he couldn't pick up the phone when I called. I recommend him as an excellent psychiatrist.

Asa psychiatrist, your patients must develop a trust with you. Dr. Trautman leaves his cell phone number if you need to reach him, but only returns calls if the emergency is on a Monday, Tuesday or Thursday when he is in his office it seems. He is quick tempered which is not a good attribute for a psychiatrist. He lost his temper with me,and believe me that shouldn't be with a psychiatrist. I won't be going back to him. He also left his answering machine message from April, still on his machine

Like others, I had multiple experiences with Dr. Trautman that were stressful and unsettling. Much of the time, he does his job. But if you have a disagreement or a grievance or knock one too many times on his door!, he will deny you prescriptions, hang up the phone on you, and speak to you in an obnoxious, patronizing manner. I left his office (for the last time) in tears last week. He is unstable and, I believe, puts patients at risk. If you care about your mantle health, stay away

May not always return your phone calls, but certainly does listen to all messages and makes notes. Office rug could use a cleaning, but he's an excellent Doctor.

I had an awful experience with Dr. Trautman. He was extremely rude and got loud at me for no reason. He is impossible to schedule with as he never answers his phone or bothers to rerun your calls. I left my last visit holding back tears as he was very rude to me and very abrasive!!!! I would NOT reccomed this man to my worst enemy. As a psychiatrist ( and human being) you should NEVER speak to someone the way he spoke to me. Awful awful and awful!!!!!!
