Conducted business with Transcat for years until now. They lost/damaged our protective shipping box, damaged the equipment by dropping it and lost our power cord. Yet they still returned to us as if nothing happened. The equipment was received non-operable. When we brought this to their attention they denied all responsibility and expected payment for calibration in full.
Transcat is unorganized from the time we received a quote (received multiple with different price points for the same level of calibration from different sales rep. Even the sales rep told us to pay in advance. Thank goodness we did NOT!) to when we physically dropped the item off. The quote stated an estimate of "10 business days". It has been a nightmare dealing with Transcat. We sent in a calibrator in July. It took 3 months for them to calibrate it. When we received it back it was broken and they missed many functions they promised to calibrate. We will not make the mistake of using Transcat for calibration again.
It has been a nightmare dealing with Transcat. We sent in a calibrator in July, it is now 3 months later and they still haven't sent it back. We can't get a reply from them about a possible ship date or any status update. Will be taking our calibration requests elsewhere in the future.
