After my mother passed my adult kids decided to surrender their policy because now they work and have their own policies . Let me just tell you my mom had 37 policies. Transamerica insurance company is the most inept company. They are not accredited by BBB and they have shown their lack of credibility by their lack of responsibility. I have personally been working with the company to surrender my policy. Excuse after excuse after excuse. I have called weekly for updates without correct feedback. DO NOT HESITATE TO RUN FAST AND OMIT THIS COMPANY FROM ANY POLICIES. THEY TAJE YOUR MONEY GLADLY BUT REFUSE TO CORRESPOND WITH YOU WHEN YOU SUBMIT REQUESTS. NO GOOD COMPANY
Horrible Business Practices – Stay Away from TransAmerica! If I could give TransAmerica zero stars, I would! My 75-year-old mother has been faithfully paying $113 a month for over 10 years on her whole life policy, never missing a payment. Now that she needs to withdraw a small portion of her cash value—money that SHE has built up—they are refusing to release it! Their excuse? They "cannot verify her signature." I have just received the worst customer service from Transamerica did any company I have ever seen it took me six people, to get to the 6th person to give me the information I need, I really hope they record these calls and because I was hung up on two of the 6 times . IF YOU DON'T KNOW THE ANSWER, ASK FOR HELP
