I don’t know all buses available but it’s contactless payment available. Just few people on Thursday afternoon and plenty of luggage space. PLEASE OPERATE ON SUNDAY.

Planned to get the bus from Kuranda to Cairns but the bus that showed up had no air conditioning. Driver warned us that it was like a sauna in there and upon boarding we definitely agreed. All passengers onboard looked uncomfortable and the driver was dripping in sweat. Decided not to travel by this bus as we are travelling with a baby who had already spent all day out in the heat and humidity. We had a such wonderful experience traveling on bus 123 from Cairns to the Skyrail. This was our first ride on the public whilst on holiday in Cairns. Driver Boban was more than polite, helpful and friendly. We did feel safe with his driving skills. Boban was the reason why we did use the public bus again day after we traveled with him. Thank you very much Boban. Great to know people like you are there for us.

Timetable on the website does not say that during school holidays there is no bus service from Kuranda to Cairns at 4pm. This left several people stranded and stressed who had to pay $30 per person for a shuttle bus back to town. The tourist office told us they have addressed this issue several times but the bus company ignored it and did not add this information to their bus schedule.
