I just finished the NFPA 1001/ HazMat course so it's still fresh in my mind. There will still be quite a bit of bias but I will try to keep it balanced. Pros: 1. Cost: Coming from Canada the cost comparison of TD to my local colleges was very favourable towards TD. 2. Flexibility: The hybrid/ online study option was very appealing to me and it allowed to me to finish a 1001 course. I would not be certified without this format. 3. I highly recommend taking the Basic Fire Academy at Texas Training Division. My time there was an incredible experience, the instructors are extremely knowledgeable and genuinely invested in your success. Don’t be afraid to ask them questions; they bring a wealth of prior experience and knowledge and are eager to share it with you. Great Experience This was a great experience from start to finish. Experienced firefighters run the show — they're stern, but bring a wealth of real-world knowledge to the table. The two weeks go by fast, so make sure to study up and come prepared. I'd recommend this program to any friend looking to get their NFPA certifications.
