VERY DISAPPOINTING. The location was lovely and the food decent, but the rooms were awful and the bathroom setup TERRIBLE. We knew we’d be sharing a bathroom, but didn’t realize it meant ONE bathroom for FIVE separate rooms—so up to 14 people using a single sink/shower/toilet. The bathroom itself was gross - dirty, smelly, with old towels, and a yellowed shower curtain. Quirky. Rustic. Basic. Very good home-made breakfast.
We were so happy with our stay! Very lovely room, good breakfasts, complementary coffee service each morning, and some incredible views of Manana and the harbor. We did have electricity in our room in the annex, and there was WiFi on the lawn by the main office. Lunch was very popular and serviced from 12-2pm. Get there early for hand pies! It is good to note that dinner is only served currently in May and October.
a very nice rustic Maine Island experience..not fancy but a perfect experience..it reminded me of the old Pennsylvania quaker farmhouse I grew up in. Coffee delivered to your room in the morning, very nice breakfast..
