Quirky. Rustic. Basic. Very good home-made breakfast.
We were so happy with our stay! Very lovely room, good breakfasts, complementary coffee service each morning, and some incredible views of Manana and the harbor. We did have electricity in our room in the annex, and there was WiFi on the lawn by the main office. Lunch was very popular and serviced from 12-2pm. Get there early for hand pies! It is good to note that dinner is only served currently in May and October.
a very nice rustic Maine Island experience..not fancy but a perfect experience..it reminded me of the old Pennsylvania quaker farmhouse I grew up in. Coffee delivered to your room in the morning, very nice breakfast..
We stayed one night at The Trailing Yew in the cabin building, a cozy, stand-alone structure tucked away from the main house, and it was the perfect example of a classic Monhegan stay. The room was simple, clean, and full of character, with absolutely stunning views overlooking the harbor and the village. We (and our pup) also loved that the property is pet-friendly.
