Room was great and the gathering area was warm and inviting. The hotel is in very good condition. The location is convenient to downtown Highlands, hiking and waterfalls. They are in the midst of transition of property ownership/management and have many glitches to work out. They need some time to meet expectations for price point and advertised amenities.

A lovely and welcoming place to enjoy the Highlands NC area! My husband and I arrived at the Trailborn after a harrowing day of travel that included an unexplained cancellation from a resort we had booked four months prior. There was next to nothing available for lodging in the area due to the beginning of the beautiful foliage season. Fortunately Trailborn, a Marriott property, had one room remaining.
