For the last 5 weeks of my mother's long life, she was cared for by Trail Winds Hospice.This army of angels stepped in where my knowledge and capacity ended, concerning the care of my little momma. I welcomed their expert care, as they also taught me how to give better care to my mom in her last weeks. TW did more harm than good. I regret using them. I trusted them absolutely for 6-months, only to realize they were over-medicating, not asking questions, not attuned to my LOs needs, and not advocating at all. My LO was losing 5 pounds a month, and instead of asking WHY, they lectured me on how people stop wanting to eat. My LO was obviously hungry to me, but was unable to physically feed, and the facility was a problem.
