Walked in and was greeted by the loudest restaurant ive ever been in and ordered the pork ribeye only for it to be pretty much purple (the owner replied saying pork sometimes has a pink hue but when the center was cold and raw not a slight pink hue i would rather not gamble) when it got to my table also the food was so bland (bland is an understatement it lacked salt, pepper, and any other basic flavor other then the base ingredient in our case the mac and cheese and mashed potatoes) our waiter was so overwhelmed (our server... read more
Grouper served fresh and hot on mashed potatoes. Collards had a great taste, could have been a little more tender. Also served with rice. Great server. He checked on us several times. Sides were priced separately! A little bit pricey overall.
After driving to get to South Carolina for vacation, we were really looking forward to a great meal, but this experience fell completely short. The issues started right out of the gate: The Food: My pork chop arrived completely raw in the middle and had to be sent back. The sides were equally underwhelming—both the mac and cheese and the pimento cheese were completely bland and devoid of flavor. The restaurant is inside a hotel lobby. One can barely see lake Hartwell from the restaurant. Seemed to take a long time to get drink orders taken. Appetizer was cold. Brunch food was mediocre. I don't thinking anyone ate all of their meal and it wasn't because they were full.
