I love Trader Joe's, but every time I go the coffee is more expensive. Definitely won't buy it there anymore. Disappointed

This is the second time the crew members have asked me what disability I have that I need a service dog. They violate the ADA law and were trained to ask these questions. They also told me that if my dog is emotional support, they don't allow her. She was wearing an identifying Service Dog vest. It's mortifying having people stare when having your rights violated. I would not recommend Trader Joe's to anyone with any disability or service animal. Shame on them!

I'd been shoping in TJ for many years. the people working there were so polite and it was like a family to me. I have a little dog that is train for a service. Lately a lady call Tracy I believe came to me with a very aggresive attitude telling me that dogs are no more allowed in there. I showed her my dog service papers but she continue telling me that It was not true. I am not the kind of person to fight so I left without buying my groceries. I wish to commend and thank the cashier that assisted me today 12/13/2021 at 4:02 PM ( forgive me but I didn't catch his name). I had mentioned to him that earlier in the day I had to euthanize my beloved pup after 17 years and he promptly went to the floral display and selected a lovely, $10.00 bouquet to give me......and I hadn't even told him that it is also my 65 birthday today! I was so overcome with emotion that I cried in my car before being able to leave the parking lot. I am still gratefully dazed by this kindness!... read more

Let me preface my review by stating that I love this Trader Joes and I am mostly treated very well there. Until today. As I was waiting in line outside to go into the store a woman employee approached me and saw that I was carrying my own bags. She said "You can't bring bags inside." I immediately said "Oh, ok, no problem I will not bring them in." She sort of looked at me in a strange way so I continued, " Some stores let you bring in your own bags now and some stores don't." I have been a frequent shopper at Trader Joes for most of my life. I go to the stonestown location almost weekly. I shopped, slid my card, and was told the transaction was unable to process, my boyfriend who has plenty of money slid his card, again we were told the transaction was unable to process. We tried this several times, including calling the food stamps hotline to verify amounts. We were then taken to a separate register, and rung up.
