Great food for less I have to admit that I was hesitate about shopping at Trader Joe's before because I thought it was one of those fancy health stores that I keep hearing about. Anyway my wife bought some pretty good frozen food from there one day and I have to admit that the food taste pretty good and the prices are very reasonable. I've been a long time customer of both the Trader Joe's chain as well as at this particular location. It provides a range of organic foods, good wines, and several "earth-friendly" products without breaking the bank. In that regard, I find Trader Joe's to be much more realistic than Whole Foods and this particular location has good customer service, as well.
love this store! I love trader joes, everytime I go there I find something new that I love.They have such a great mix of stuff.the prices are a bit higher than your typical store,but you get what you pay for, and the quality of the products at trader joes is wonderful. Great food! Great prices! I love the selection of healthy food at great prices. Usually organic or helthy varieties cost more but not the case at Trader Joe's. They offer samples so I keep my food coices revolving at home. They are very friendly and helpful too. I do about 90% of my grocery shopping here and I love it. My kids love it too because of the balloons and samples. Also find the sheep for a free fruit snack. PROS: Great prices! Helpful people! CONS:
New Store in the Area This is a new location for Trader Joe's and my first time visiting a Trader Joe's. It is a higher end grocery store so some of the prices were a bit high, but they had a great variety of unusual items. If you are looking for a special cheese or an exotic beer, this is a great place to go.
Brand New Trader Joes. Great staff with plenty of free samples. The store opened in November and is great, one of the best selections at a TJs I have ever seen. Very good ethnic Indian and Thai food. Wine selection is affordable and abundant. The only detractor is the small parking lot makes it difficult to find a space a number of times and next to a Walgreens that is undergoing renovation.
Fantastic little store So San Carlos residents have been hearing about a Trader Joe's getting built for quite a long time now. I never knew what the big deal was and was never excited for it seeing as I have never been to a Trader Joes I just figured it was another grocery store. I finally went a few weeks ago and I know see what the hype is all about. There are free samples given at all times of the day. What would I do without TJ's? Trader Joe's has it all. Whether you want a prepackaged meal for a ready-to-go meal or fresh ingredients to make your own. TJ's will be your one stop shop for fruit (though could be more fresh), veggies, salads, frozen foods, wine, energy bars and snacks. Try something new every time you go; it's worth it for the discoveries!
New Store, same great products! Having traveled to both Mountain View, and Menlo Park just to shop at Trader Joe's, it didn't seem much farther to go to San Carlos. The is a nice location, and it has all the Trader Joe favorites.
