I had a family member attend Narins and it was the best thing. Everyone who worked there was amazing! It was the perfect balance of compassion, understanding and tough love. Watching a loved one battle ED is awful. It takes a lot of empathy and boundaries to help the person going through it. Narins really helped my family learn how to do this - but we were willing and open. Our family will be forever grateful for their help.
Tracy is an amazing and compassionate listener. The psychiatrist was very helpful. In recovery unfortunately places are not going to be what you need to them to be. It is an equal put into it and take fromit. The eating disorder turns into a monster when under treatment that’s why the barrier. It speaks volumes that Tracy took this place and turned it into one of the only places in the western New York area for eating disorders.

I really think Tracy is outstanding, but, unfortunately, Narins - not so much. Extremely inconsistent therapists. One was on such a power trip, I actually had to ask my nutritionist, who is an advisor to the program, if the purpose was to tear someone down simply to try to build them back up? I literally was trembling with reaction after one encounter. I quit after a day because I had horrific nightmares about returning the next day. I simply could not go back.
