Waited for an appointment for months (3+), got a call one week before my appointment saying that the doctor is going to be on a vacation and that I needed to reschedule the appointment, 4 months out. The person on the call said and I quote: "it's just an appointment." First time I've heard this in the healthcare industry. I've gone to the urgent care a few times and I'm trying to reach out to a new doctor to get their opinion, and then I hear this...
Dr. Tracy Black is very calm, and caring as a physician. She also takes the time to educate you about your health concerns, when she could just have the nurse do it I appreciate her so very much, and would highly recommend her.
Dr. Black did help me get my Graves Disease in control, but was very pushy when it came to recommending radioactive iodine. I wanted to research different methods, but she was insistent; I went with another doctor for a second opinion. It's been 7 years since, and I'm thriving just fine without radioactive iodine and even went into remission. Having a doctor who is willing to look into different methods of treating hyperthyroidism is important, in my humble opinion, and she didn't seem willing to do that.
