I normally shop the Bastrop store because I am in Bastrop for other reasons. The Gidding store is normally less crowded and the people are friendly. This rating is so low because poor quality products they are selling. I ordered a gate online. I have ordered panels online from this store before. This time they were peddling trash. They had two of these gates on the lot. The one they first tried to give me three of the pipes were bent. The worker said okay put that one back. Tractor supply company has now lost my business at two locations. I just ordered a bag of chicken feed and 5 minutes later they called and canceled my order. They said their truck wouldn't be there until tomorrow. I said I wasn't going to pick it up until tomorrow. They said I had to go ahead and reorder it now through the app again. So I called the local feed supply store that has been there for 65 years and arranged a purchase instead. Crazy because it looks like I will save a ton of money this way. I have some land out near Giddings so I stop in to Tractor Supply quite a bit…. a couple weeks ago I happened in on “Chick Day” to get propane. I was talking to Tara “The Chicken Chick” about wanting to get chickens once I get a coop set up and had the time to get them started…. she told me they are easy to get started and don’t need a lot of work with the right food and water setup and dammit I walked out with chickens and Guineas.
