I came to this teacher about a year ago having never picked up a guitar, let alone any musical instrument in my entire life. I was very apprehensive at first since I was a total beginner and had no idea what to expect, but that feeling was soon alleviated by the teacher's welcoming and easy going nature.

A lesson plan and a handful of lessons worked around my mostly insane schedule, and I am playing music! (And it's rather more fun than just shouting along.) The teacher is endlessly patient, encouraging, and positive. And focuses on what I want to learn, while providing me useful exercises to build my technical ability. Taking lessons with this teacher is fun, but it is also absolutely the best thing I could have done to jumpstart my playing.

I am glad that your lessons are targeted toward the learner's ability and are manageable segments of new material even for someone like me who has a full schedule.

I have been taking private lessons for voice and piano from Katie for about 3 years now and switching to her from my previous teacher was one of the best musical decisions I could have made. For piano lessons, Katie was interested in what I wanted to get out of my piano experience so that together we could reach my goals.
