Not sure how I’m feeling right now. Chose a specific OB, my appointment with her got canceled and the next time should would’ve been able to see me wasn’t until November.. currently 3 months pregnant and was scheduled for NIPT testing. Instead I have to see a completely different doctor. I’ve been trying to ask whatever nurse I’ve been speaking to if I could speak to my doctor directly via portal messaging and they keep ignoring me. I will start with how very nice the front office staff and nurses was thank you. However Dr Tan had poor bed side manner and lack of care and empathy with how she handled someone's situation. Making them feel like it was something your doing wrong. Accusing them of smoking as part of the problem and telling them don't have multiple partners. Which definitely isn't my issue and had she waited did the right test after and took time to listen. She would of gotten to the root of what it is truly that was happening. Total administrative failure, dishonesty, and zero care for patients. I am completely cutting ties with TPMG after multiple incidents. First, a TPMG Podiatrist abruptly canceled my appointment 1–2 days prior over an internal PCP referral paperwork issue they refused to help resolve. Next, at the Newport News OB/GYN facility, they booked me for back-to-back appointments (ultrasound at 1:30 PM, results with Dr. Cordes at 2:15 PM). I did not have a good experience during my first prenatal appointment and ultrasound, and I am extremely disappointed with the level of care and service I received. My appointment was rushed and lasted approximately 10 minutes, even though I was told by the receptionist that the appointment was scheduled for 30 minutes.
