Katy, the office manager was absolutely rude. " This is our price, and you will be billed this amount"had a visit at the office, problem with insurance, asked to pay the reimbursed amount for an office visit for a check up, Katy insisted we must pay the retail visit since insurance denied, which was way over insurance reimbursement, $216. Did not offer to discount, insisted that she is the office manager and she makes the decision. I was charged a copay at my physical (supposed to be free) because according to receptionist I asked and answered questions regarding current medications. Apparently, that is beyond the scope of what is covered during a physical. SMH
Dr. Backens staff is always professional and helpful.
The Docs, nurses, and medical team here have always great. I previously posted a 1star review of this practice due to the front desk. In the visits since then I have seen a big change in the staff, organization and the attitude of the front office team. EXCELLENT WORK TURNING THAT AROUND!
