My experience with Wellesley Toyota was extremely disappointing. A small issue with the rear tailgate of my 2024 Toyota Sienna turned into more than two months of delay and about $11,000 in repairs. I had a good buying experience here, but unfortunately that's usually how it goes when you're spending upwards of $60,000. Most interactions I've had that are customer service oriented are poor. I won't go into great detail on a public forum but I'm frustrated with how they handle issues that have arisen for me. I came in expecting professional diagnostics but instead was advised to replace parts one by one with no guarantee the check engine light would be resolved. On my first visit, I was told to replace an oxygen sensor for about $700 even after I explained that I had already replaced one and the issue remained. I was assured that using an original Toyota sensor would fix the problem. It didn’t. I took my car in for its first service and expected my multi-point inspection to go smoothly. Check in was easy and straightforward. I was welcomed with a smile. The waiting area was clean and quiet so I was able to get work done while I waited. After an hour my car was ready, great. When I finally arrive home I check under my hood because of past experiences at other places and find they did not complete the multi point inspection as expected including topping off fluids.
