My son and I drove across country to his internship in CA in our 2011 Prius. With 240,000 miles and 14 years of NY salt it had seen better days but still chugged along. So sad to wait more than 7 hours without any notice, wondering if my car is missing. Using Toyota care is a nightmare of waiting.
They kept me in the dark the entire time. I dropped it off on Thursday, picked it up on Saturday. They were not responsive and it wasn't until I tried escalating to speak to a manager did they finally came out of the woodworks and said Yeah car is all fine, We couldn't find anything. The alarm didn't go off. I fully believe they disconnected the battery and did nothing else. Obviously, the battery won't drain and the alarm won't go off if it's unplugged. I took my 2024 Prius for its 15,000 mile Toyota Care service. The customer service was friendly enough. However, when driving to work the next day, the tire light went on. Since my car has an air pressure sensor on the tires, I was able to check that the air pressure on both rear tires was 33 PSI and the front tires 37 PSI. This tells me Claremont Toyota did not rotate the tires like they said they would. I'm even thinking that they never did anything to my car based on this horrible tech service.
