I’ve been a loyal customer of Toyota of Tampa Bay since purchasing my car here, and I want to start by saying the buying experience was wonderful and the service advisors I’ve worked with have always been kind and professional. If you’re going for an oil change expect to wait at least 2 hours..
If I could put 0 stars I would. Extremely disappointed with our recent experience at this Toyota service center. We went in for a warning that popped up on our dash and left the first appointment spending ~$900 to fix the water pump. ONE WEEK LATER our car started to shut down on the highway and we had to go back. They then said the issue was our alternator was faulty and that the belt that they took off to fix the water pump was now bad. Both of these were in good condition the week before. April who picked up the phone didn’t give the information I provided to the service techs even though I gave plenty of details and provided multiple phone numbers if there were questions. I showed up thinking there weren’t going to be any issues since I never received a phone call back but I wasted my time going there. They would not honor my warranty that was in date and didn’t let me know until I drove there instead of calling me back ahead of time. The whole process took forever.
