The service people are nice but the prices charged are outrageous. This is typical of dealerships, not specific to this location. But do yourself a favor and Google first if other places can take care of your problem. For example, AutoZone does a free battery inspection and free installation if you buy there, and they charge half of what Toyota does. Toyota will charge you for the inspection before gouging you for the battery and installation afterward. Just do your research.
I really appreciate how well Robert Anderson kept me informed before, during, and after service of my car. He recommended repairs that previous dealerships should have taken care of long before now. My car hasn't run this well since I purchased it in 2019.
It’s always a little nerve wracking to take a road trip and then get an urgent alert on your dash. Thankfully we called the service department and spoke with Robert. He was concerned, helpful and went above and beyond to ensure my small kids were taken care of while our car was awaiting parts and service. The people who take your vehicle at the service center are very nice. That’s where the good review ends. Quite possibly the worst service center I’ve dealt with. I have had issues after each of my 3 services since buying a new vehicle (2023 Tacoma Trail) with them. The 10,000 mile check up they did a rotation etc and I got my truck back with the alignment very off. Had to bring it back to them to be fixed. SB Community - BUYER BEWARE! I had a horrible experience at Toyota of Santa Barbara Service. I was told I needed new brakes and suspension repair. I spent over $800 and a week later my suspension started giving out. I was then told by Toyota that it was a "different problem" and they wanted to charge me another $1000 to fix it. I took my car to another Toyota mechanic just around the corner actually in Goleta. They fixed the new issue for $300 and fixed errors made by Toyota Santa Barbara.
