This little eatery, located in Lake City, about five minutes north of downtown, may be the best-kept secret in the Seattle area. Prices aren't exactly low, but they are reasonable, and the broad selection is sure to bring you back time and again. It is a bit of a hole-in-the-wall with little invested in the decor, but chef/owner Toyoda makes up for it with the freshest possible seafood and top-flight chefs. Sushi is the specialty, but no less good are the teriyaki and tempura. Sometimes dishes are compromised when the restau... read more

Decent place to get sushi in North Seattle. Super friendly service with complementary miso soup and a salad of some sort. For the same price of a sushi spot in downtown Seattle or Capitol Hill, I have noticed that this place is pretty pricey, especially if they are preferring Venmo or Zelle for a payment. Besides that turn off, the food was OK, I would rather go to Momiji instead.
Highly recommend! Both my wife and I each had our own Chef’s Selection for dinner, which was a very generous assortment of various sushi. Our favorite was the fatty tuna - melted in our mouths. Objectively, this wasn’t the best sushi we’ve had but it definitely stands out - especially since they give you FAT cuts of quality fish. It’s also an authentic, family-owned joint. The family was SO nice. Note: they take Venmo, Zelle, or cash for payment.
Now I know why they're so expensive. The only open for 10hrs a week. Last time I was there it 35.00 for a rainbow roll. I couldn't believe it. But now it makes sense just making a point. In my opinion it's the best in Seattle. Still it feels like taking advantage of loyal customers. 5:00 - 7:30 4 days a week. What a life. Now that's Capitalism at its finest. Just saying. Guess I'm just mad they're not open. Slackers lol
Go with house special and calamari. Entrees are excellent! Pricey and busy since they have a short window of business hours.
