Swam out to the end of the net with my 8 year old nephew. Remember Nate you can do anything when you believe and put your mind to it. Well done mate. Must do activity. Water pretty murky which just adds to the Jaws music running through your head whilst you picture a crocodile chewing your leg off. Had a good swim around. Highly recommended!
Hallo, das ist leider der einzigste Strand in Townsville, wo man in den Sommermonaten relativ bedenkenlos baden gehen kann. Ein großes Problem zwischen Hervey Bay und Cooktown... die Stinger(Irokandji) und Box Jelly Fish(Würfel Qualle). Die Irokandji sind die tödlichsten Quallen überhaupt und sind aktiv in diesen Gegenden zwischen Oktober und Mai und sind nicht zu unterschätzen. The walk along the strand is a lovely experience, specially in the evening. Seems to be one of the happening places in Townsville. The scenic beauty is just awesome with the lovely beach and magnetic Island visible in the distance. There are a lot of relaxed cafes along the way and very good public amenities.
