Welcome to Townsend's. We are proud to have been able to make this statement since 1895 as we are one of the oldest and the best cycle and repair shop in Cambridge. Proper bike shop. I don't know why I've been going elsewhere in the past. I'm an idiot. Forgive me Townsends. Patient, helpful, proper listening, responsive and generous I'm Townsends for life now.
We came in twice last week to fix some old bikes friends had lent us. They didn’t charge for minor repairs, provided prices upfront, and the final bill was even lower than quoted. The owner and staff were incredibly kind —such a warm introduction to Cambridge.
Came with no appointment and two badly stripped screws. Warm welcome, bike ready by the end of the day, fair price. Definitely recommend.
Thank you for your after sale/replacement service! I have swiftly received the (new) SPV dynamo hub, which is very well appreciated. The hub turn a lot better than the old one and has been built into a working wheel ready for the winter commute. Great stuff!!
Very helpful and knowledgeable staff, and will often help immediately if you need it. Will def be my goto place for bike fixes/gear.
