Town Pump Tavern is great! One of my all time favorite bars! They have some of the best music around. You can always count on meeting really friendly people, an having a great time.
Friendly local bar in Black Mountain. I have gotten spoiled when it comes to not smoking in bars. Here they allow smoking. But on the upside, I promise you will meet someone friendly there. Plus, they almost always have good bands bringing in a wide variety of music, from bluegrass to rock-n-roll. The decor has dollar bills stapled to the ceiling, a long and narrow bar, with dart boards in the back for free play. One thing I should mention, the Town Pump does NOT serve "hard" alcohol, only beer and wine, Black Mountain city ... read more
