This landmark suffragette hall still feels like a house of worship. – In Short Gigs at Town Hall include jazz, the wonderful "Not Just Jazz" series, easy rock, folk, classical, cabaret, and the occasional "Prairie Home Companion." The Town Hall presents some of these events, and the rest are rentals by big-time and semi-big-time promoters.

NEVER AGAIN! – Purchased amazing seats through Ticketmaster 5 weeks before the show. The night of the show, we were informed the seats were no longer available and were offered significantly inferior seats instead. The house blamed the producers, the producers blamed the house; the manager was incredibly condescending, and the producer kept telling us she was from Boulder, CO, as if that excused her incompetence. Ultimately they refunded our money, but only after taking back the tickets.

Great NYC Venue – Came here to see the band Old & In the Gray on a Wednesday night and our seats were in the balcony which was not a problem - there's really not a bad seat in the house. Only bad thing is the seats are a bit close together so if you're upwards of 6'0" and 180 lbs., you may be a tight squeeze. Acoustics were good, but the volume was turned way down for whatever reason and despite screams of "turn it up!!" from the audience, they did not comply. Would definitely come back here to check out another show.
