I recently was scheduled for a MRI here and everything went really well except for when I got my blood drawn. The nurse was having trouble getting a draw for the gadobutrol which later left me with a lump in my arm and purple bruises. This is not to complain about the service because everyone is very efficient and very pleasant. This is a concern about the bruising.
I had such a great experience here this past Tuesday. The young lady who checked me in (Ashley Holmes) was awesome. She was so pleasant. While waiting to be seen, I saw how she took care of an elderly patient, calling for transportation in advance, looking out for the driver, and assisting her to the vehicle. I was thoroughly impressed. I usually don't do reviews but I had to do this one. I will definitely recommend this location to anyone and everyone.
I had specifically called over to Touro (New Orleans) to obtain the pricing would be for a radiology service and they quoted me a price and then I received a separate bill from the radiology practice that no one mentioned to me. I find it extremely frustrating to navigate the healthcare system when there is zero transparency in terms of pricing. I think it is just a bad practice in this day and age to not be clear to patients on the total costs for the service, even if broken out by provider and/or facility.
I had a great visit. I had a CAT scan with the "contrast" which has always made me sick and ready to vomit. Peggy, the lady that did the scan, was the most professional, caring, and responsive individual I have come across in all the scans I have ever had anywhere. She is the best! Told me what to expect---although I already held horrible expectations, what to do when the inevitable nausea came and how to defeat it with breathing. This lady is first rate and a true gem!
