Throughout my life, I have had to deal with the lack of understanding and compassion; and lack of knowledge about Tourette’s. It’s so hard to watch when you tell someone that touching them in this particular way sets off their tics and that person touches them exactly where you told them not to. I know it’s hard to understand that sometimes just a hug will set off some people with Tourette’s.
