Touchmark was a traumatizing experience for my aging father. The lack of care and communication expedited his death without question. While they do well in the assisted living area where residents can still care for themselves - they fail in the enhanced assisted area. If your loved one declines to the point where they need extra help they will not be able to choose meal selections from the main area menu--or even request food items as simple as a banana. I have been a Touchmark resident for more than 19 years. My wife and I moved into our stand-alone home here a year after she was diagnosed with Parkinson's. I wanted her to be part of a social community in case something unexpected happened to me. She moved to the Claremont neighborhood for additional assistance last year and passed away about 7 months later. Dining services are among the strong poinst at Touchmark.
