I had TCC come out for a cleaning of my oil furnace. Jason Carmichael arrived early in the time frame window I was quoted. He was friendly, very professional, answered my questions, and explained the process before the cleaning, and what was attended to once he was done. Couldn't ask for anything else. He's a fine representative of the company.
So i have a leak in my minisplit system. A line set replacement and labor should be 2 hours labor plus 100 for the part. They should be able to recover the 410a and pump it back in once done and maybe add a few ounces. Expecting a quote of 400-600. Instead they quoted 1700. Including 8lbs of 410 a when my system only uses 2lbs. On top of that they are marking up the refrigerant 1500% any place that charges you more than $15 per pound is screwing you. Home Depot in Tilton referred my parents to them for a simple hot water heater install. It was a simple install to replace an old heater. Just hook it up. They quoted my parents $6,844! My jaw dropped when I heard that. They were also trying to up sell rhem stuff they didn't need (code upgrade kit, condensate pump etc). From all the other negative reviews I see I'm not sure why HD has them as a contractor. Stay far away!
Honestly, I was kind of surprised by the rating of TCC. Rudy, the serviceman who came out was funny, respectful, and explained things really well! He was really great to talk to and had good suggestions that would fit my husband and I. The actual problem was solved promptly and we had our heat back within 20ish minutes. Would totally recommend.
Jeff arrived to install my new water heater and encountered many problems with getting the existing tank to drain. Steve then came to assist, and the two of them got the tank drained, the old one removed and the new one installed. Both provided excellent servuce and were very kind and professiuional. HIghly recommend both of these gentlemen as they provided escellent service. Very happy with the company and these employees.
