My experience with Optum as a VA community care provider has been extremely frustrating and disappointing. Communication is poor and inconsistent. I have been seeing Dr. Powell since late 2017. She is a wonderful, caring physician, takes her time. Have referred others who found the same. Her staff has always been very nice and helpful. I also realize getting an appointment may take a while but it's worth the wait to see her. If you need to be seen quickly she has a PA. When she has had questions or concerns she has actually called me at home. Had two cars towed from their empty parking lot in front of their business because the families were attending THE SPECIAL OLYMPICS to watch their SPECIAL NEEDS CHILDREN run, and the high school parking lot had filled up. REALLY GROSS BEHAVIOR.
