The outdoor patio has a nice atmosphere, but that’s about the only positive. The food was very disappointing — salty, soggy, and honestly worse than delivery. Even the spaghetti was bad. Service was just as poor: the waiters seemed more interested in chatting with people they knew than taking care of guests, and our server was switched without anyone telling our table. The only decent part of the meal was the wine, which I assume was selected by the owner. Overall, this place does not live up to its location.
Loved the food. I have a very refined taste and this place was just something in needed to satisfy my taste buds.. id highly recommend it.
Toscanova at the Commons in Calabasas is a solid four star restaurant. The food is good, though not exceptional, and falls more into the category of reliable than remarkable. We had a pizza that was pretty good and a salad that was fresh and well done, but neither stood out as something you would rush back for.
