Service is embarrassingly slow. It’s ridiculous to serve 3 out of 4 entrees and leave the last waiting for 15+ minutes. We also had to ask for our dessert to be served. No remorse from the staff even when they knew they were in the wrong. When you pay ahead, there’s no incentive for good service. Won’t be back.
I really wanted to love Tortello and went in with high expectations, but unfortunately it just wasn’t for me. I appreciate the concept and the focus on handmade pasta, but I found the overall experience a little underwhelming for the price point. We tried the pomodoro and the squid ink bucatini, and while everything was fine, neither dish had the depth of flavor or vibrancy I was hoping for. My partner and I have loved this restaurant for years, but lately the quality is not what it once was. Recently we had found ourselves less satisfied with the food, but we went back a few more times thinking maybe we had just visited on off days.
