Sharing my experience at Toronto Western Hospital. I had to go the Hospital on November 14,2025 to have a foreign body removed from left by Dr. Syed. I had to fast the night before. Both the anesthesiologist and nurse said i could have a bit of liquid up until about 2pm on the day of the surgery. However, after reviewing the email from the nurse it mentioned no liquids after midnight. I go into the preoperative unit. A Black nurse explains what i am supposed to change into. I was taken to the hospital because I had fallen twice on a pavement. After various tests, I was encouraged to stay overnight. The following morning I was allowed to leave but on a taxi which took about an hour to get me home on a freezing rain. I didn’t hay not need to pay anything for the taxi . Every day I get a nurse visiting me, and when I don’t get the nurse I get messages from the hospital inquiring about me health. The way I was treated is INCREDIBLE!
