The hospital ER deserves a one star or worst. We had a bad experience with Triage and then later on with the nursing staff including the supervisor. My daughter was brought in after an injury caused by an assault under a racially motivated crime by the attacker. My daughter had a gash on her upper lip and a broken tooth when the attacker punched her on the face. The staff is horrible and rude please try and go to another hospital if possible
The hospital experience I had at Toronto Western was completely unacceptable. My father had to have an emergency amputation done. The plastic surgeon resident who did the surgery believed it was okay to do this in the emergency room while he was awake. She never consulted with the family first and allowed him to sign documents while on heavy medication and with his non dominant hand. The emergency room was dirty and full of flies. The fracture clinic and the XRay department are the worst in dealing with patients. First of all they dont honor appointments at all. With your appointment time they will still make you stay atleast 4hours. The front desk for both do not care about the patient even when asking question they will ignore you. Fracture clinic side have some staff who think they can laugh and talk very loudly and discuss personal issues outloud as if they are in a club not very professional. I have been to this hospital several times over the past couple of years. While there are a few areas that could be improved, overall the staff is doing their best. I have used services from multiple departments, and I am giving them 4 stars out of 5 stars.
