My experience at Toronto Film School was deeply disappointing and, at times, dangerous. The environment lacked structure and professionalism. Classes felt disorganized, with minimal educational value, especially early on. Worse, the school did little to ensure the safety or conduct of its students. I experienced verbal abuse, racial slurs, and was physically assaulted by another student. Despite reporting this, I was met with silence and even manipulation by staff, including a supposed mental health counselor who tried to ga... read more

I graduated from Toronto Film School’s Acting for Film, TV & Theatre program, and it was such a great experience. The instructors were super helpful and really know what they’re talking about. Most of them are working in the industry, so they get to bring r... read more

I just had a phone call with the admissions advisor about film screenwriting. When she found out that my spoken English was not very fluent, she seemed extremely impatient and told me that the course was taught in English and that I wouldn't be able to keep up if my English wasn't good enough. I then asked if I could study film production instead, but she refused my request just as coldly as an AI robot. Of course, I knew that the classes were in English, but as someone whose native language isn't English, I still wanted to ... read more
